While the project idea for this mod won't take place for a while (or at all), I decided to make a potential list of what to expect here. Respond if you have opinions.

Cars Hi-Octane 2 (Unofficial title) GOALS:

1. To have all characters unlocked by default.

2. To fix potential bugs.

3. To use textures and graphics from the X-Box 360 version of Cars 2 the videogame for all content.

4. To include Cars 2 DLC characters that were exclusive to the X-Box 360/PS3 versions.

5. To include content from Cars 3: Driven to Win (i.e. Characters, Races, Stunt Mode, Best Lap Challenge, Thomasville Playground, Master Level Events, Cup Series, Custom Cup, Customizations like horns, undercarriage lighting colors, turbo boost colors and styles, etc. as seen in said game)

6. To make non-playable characters playable (i.e. Trunkhov, Hugo, Double-decker bus, explosive truck, shooter gremlin, bumper gremlin, tractor, Generic cars from the sidelines, etc.)

7. To include content from the Disney Infinity games (i.e. Cars Playset Explore Hub, Races from Cars Playset, Races from Toy Box Speedway, Toy Box Speedway hub (possible), some building materials, Non playable characters (The King, Pace Car, Townscars), weapons, etc.)

8. To potentially include content from Cars: Fast as Lightning or Cars: Daredevil garage.

9. Expand on the event customizations like laps, weapons, racers, etc. Original game: Amount of racers in a race: 3-8. Laps in a race: 1-3. X-Box 360 and PS3: Amount of racers in a race: 3-10. Laps in a race: 1-5. (Hoepfully this can happen, maybe even more to it)

10. To have multi-player events also be single-player accessible by having the ability to have the second players being AI.

Version 1.0

Version 1.0 is currently in development by MidSodorRailway2003 and TheWinnerGuyCJP. Here's what to expect:

  • A more accurate texture for Lightning McQueen
  • A new character: RS Team McQueen
  • A new loading screen

Here's what we hope the rosters would look like. THIS LIST IS NOT COMPLETE AND MAY BE UPDATED. The project is also not official and are just my ideas.

Modes

Mode Info

Races

Old School Racing. You can choose amount of racers and laps.

Battle Races

Races with weapons involved. You can choose amount of racers and laps.

Stunt Driving

Perform stunts on the tracks. The one with the highest score wins.

Attack

Attacks lemons or crash carts in a given amount of time. Shoot them to gain more time.

Survival

Survive Professor Zundapp's attacks by collecting batteries to keep your shield going.

Best Lap Challenge

Try to beat your best time every lap.

Hunter

Shoot down lemons in five rounds.

Disruptor

Try to get the disruptor to your base before your teammates does. Whoever has the most points wins.

Arena

Fight against other players. Whoever has the most points wins.

Thomasville Playground

Partake in some challenges or just drive around.

Explore Radiator Springs

Drive around Radiator Springs area from Disney Infinity. Partake in challenges if you like.

Boss Challenges

Take on professional racers. Battle race against Miss Fritter, Stunt drive against Mater the Greater, Take down Chick Hicks clones, and race against the super fast Jackson storm. All with extreme difficulty.

Extra training

Train in the C.H.R.O.M.E. facility or in "Thomasville Flashback" training simulator.

Practice Races

Practice on the tracks with no one else around to prepare for races.

Cup Races

Take part in a series of randomized events.

Custom Cup Races

Create your own series of events with whatever races or challenges you want to put in instead of the computer.

Sponsored Team Play

Team up with or go against other racers in sponsored teams with special paintjobs matching the sponsor. You can choose to get sponsored by either Dinoco, Rusteze, Gasprin, or Shiny Wax.

Sandbox Mode

Create your own world to drive around. You can also make race tracks.
